Custom sports pennants and team flags to 3D print

Your club, your school team or your supporters group needs a pennant or a flag, and a store-bought one will not have your colors. You are in the right place: here is how to design a printable one with your own crest, in your own colors.

Several 3D-printed pennants made of hexagon tiles: a British flag, a yellow and red logo pennant, a white company pennant and a green one

What you can make

How to design a pennant

  1. Open the pennant template. Set its size: a small one for a desk, a bigger one for a wall.
  2. Add your crest. Upload it as an SVG if you have one, or as a PNG or JPEG. A flat, simple version of the crest prints best.
  3. Draw the colors. Use the shape tools: straight and diagonal bands, circles, squares, rectangles and stars. Each has its own color, position and stacking order.
  4. Write the name. Add a text for the club name or the year. Choose a font, a size and a color, then move it where it reads best.
  5. Set the base color. The background color is yours to choose.
  6. Preview and download. Check the 2D view first, then the 3D view.

Matching the team colors

Team colors are often a strict pair, like navy and gold. Pick them first, then use them as the base color and as shape colors. If your crest has a dozen shades, reduce the palette: the editor detects the colors for you, and you can merge or replace the ones you do not need. Fewer colors means a cleaner print and fewer filament changes. To send each crest color to one of your team colors, use the override, explained in this guide.

Questions

Can I print one for every player? Yes, for your own team. The licence is personal and non-commercial, so selling the printed objects is not allowed.

Do I need a vector crest? No. A PNG or JPEG is accepted and converted for you. A sharp, high-contrast image gives the best result.

Where does the mast go? With the flag template, the mast and the base come in the same 3MF, on a separate plate from the flag.
