Customized 3MF & STLs: you place a logo (SVG, PNG or JPEG) on a template — pennant, flag, sign, bookmark, plaque, bookend, silhouette on a base… — and you get a model ready to 3D-print: one multicolor 3MF and one STL per color.
Image 2 SVG: you provide a photo or an image (PNG, JPEG) and you get an SVG in flat colors.
SVG Creator: you draw freely (shapes, text, logo) and you get two SVGs, colors and outlines.
Image 2 DXF: you provide an image or an SVG and you get a DXF ready to cut in Silhouette Studio.
Not required to create and try. An account brings the following benefits:
Makerito is free, with a few limits so that the service stays fast for everyone. They are higher with a free account:
Only the print-ready 3D file counts: the 2D and 3D preview is unlimited. A creation that fails or that you cancel does not count, and making exactly the same model again counts only once. When you create your account, you start again from zero: what you created without an account is not carried over to your account. "Simultaneous calculations" are the heavy calculations of the site (previews, image processing…) running for you at the same time: one more waits for the previous one to finish.
How it is counted. Each 3D file is released 24 hours (or 30 days for the monthly limit) after it was created, not at midnight: when a limit is reached, the site tells you at what time you can create a 3D file again.
What we keep. Never your IP address in clear: only an encrypted fingerprint, which does not allow it to be retrieved, kept for 30 days and then erased (privacy policy).
A sharp logo in solid, distinct colors. Photos and gradients produce many small areas. Image 2 SVG accepts up to 20 MB and 6000 pixels per side, at least 300 pixels; below 800 pixels, the result will be rough.
makerito detects the colors of your whole design, then keeps the most important ones, up to Nb Max colors: 4 by default, one color per filament. Only those colors are printed, one part per color in the 3MF. To choose yourself which color each detected color prints in, open the Override tool. For more detail, see how the palette and the override work. The “Max detected colors” setting goes up to 20 in the interface, and defaults to 10; “Nb Max colors” chooses how many of those colors are kept (4 by default).
These areas may not print: a line thinner than the nozzle disappears. Enlarge the model or thicken the original drawing.
A filament 3D printer (FDM). For several colors: a multi-filament system (AMS, MMU…) or filament changes during printing. The 3MF keeps one part per color.
Only an image whose rights you hold or whose owner allows you to use it (CGU).
No: a model is obtained under a personal, non-commercial licence. You may print for yourself or to give as a gift, but not sell the objects or share the file (CGU, "Licence").
1 year, from "My account".
Only a person who has obtained the files of a model can rate it, with a rating, a comment and a photo. One review per model. No compensation is given for a review.
Every review is read by a person before publication, within 14 days at most. Reasons for refusal: off-topic, abusive, personal data, inappropriate image, duplicate. The author sees the reason in their review window. We never edit the text of a review.
Reviews are displayed from newest to oldest, with their date. A review stays online until its author deletes it; they can edit or delete it from their review window.
It is not possible to contact the author of a review from the site.
